A few Layout Challenges

This page pretty much sums up my 2 greatest passions...SCIENCE EDUCATION & SCRAPBOOKING. The challenge was to use our kids artwork on the page, as well as color combo(black, blue, red, white, & silver), chipboard alpha, & old stuff from the stash. Since I have been in Australia, I really haven't bought anything new. Well, the kids artwork was very difficult to do as I don't have any kiddos or bubbas. So I scanned in a watercolor drawing that one of my students mom drew for me when I taught her daughter Rocketry. I gave the kiddos pictures and she painted a watercolor painting from the picture. The Rocket says "WALDEN", my last name. I was so humbled that she did this for me.

123 Challenge Sketch

Just finished LO for now...taking pictures at desk...LOVE teal & black together...I want Teresa Collins NEW friendship line...Black & Tiffany Teal...YUM!! Gonna make an album of my friends from the US in that color scheme!!!(Sandee those !!! are for YOU!) It's funny cause I just bought new blades for my fiskers cutter, but WHY??? I end up distressing all the paper anyway so I may just use the old blades that cut like Sh#t...LOL

Bons Scrap Sketch

The bling on the bottom was bugging me...so they are gone...wanted a different arrow but tore the paper so said bugger and the shadows from that day...still learning photography of LOs. It's funny cause I like to work on like 6 different LOs and then let them sit there & then eventually paste down when I haven't changed it for the nth time...I am like okay...DONE. I have ADD so very hard to work on just one. I have changed 4 of the last 6 LOs that I originally took photos of.

Challenge was a Sketch & you had to use B/W photo, arrow, & an animal!!!

Baked Chocolate Pudding...YUM

Challenge was to scrap a favorite recipe that you LOVE using "Chocolate, Strawberries & Cream Color Theme"(plus use flowers, bling, ribbon, & buttons...the whole enchilada) Peter made this for me & it is a favorite in his family!!!I think he forgot the recipe cause he got this off of the internet, but it tastes YUMMY!!!!
The 9 steps coordinate with the small pictures on the LO...So no excuses for failure!

• White with...Purple & Circles was the challenge
• Swiss Dot CS

Finished 4 LOs & started 3 more today...in the middle of cleaning the house, laundry, talking to my friends from the US, & cooking BUT now it is too dark to take the photos...I think I need to take a class in taking photos of my photographs(ie...Layouts)...But as promised a photo a day...
So Sandee this one is for YOU!!!
Not done with this LO as we have no ink in the printer & my DH is printing the recipe @ work...But visually there is 9 steps(look @ photos). Won't get much done in the next couple days as Peters Sister is coming in from NZ...Her son is the cute professional cricket player from New Zealand-Tim Southee.

Scrapbooking Surfing in Pink!

Thanks Kirsty for the challenge. Scrap someone you LOVE using the theme"Chocolate, Strawberries & Cream" so I thought Sepia for the photos would be perfect... Had this heart painted with Tim Crackled Distress Ink on his grunge heart & wanted to use it. Who would of thought I would be using MM to scrap Peter Surfing. I have 2 Artbins full of Surfing paper & beach, but when I showed him he said he liked it with the pink. Not happy about the clear arrow that I lined with Perfect Pearls cause it seaped through to the picture. Should of left the arrow off. But trying to do so much in a little amount of time. Love Crackled Distress Paint...

Sweet Smile

My hubby is so photogenic and has such a "Sweet Smile". I wish I was half as photogenic as he is in photos!!! Maybe it's the one behind the camera. Will have to teach him a few things!
Lauren, remember that entire line of cherry, cupcakes, & all the sweet stuff (don't remember the brand) that we bought & divided up between us... Well I used a little of it with some Doodlebug for a challenge I did @ Scrap w V. I want to use the cherries on something soon...

Check to ALL especially the Polka Dots. I didn't realize how much things have polka dots on them. I found everything from embellies, flowers, ribbons, & heaps of paper. Used Simple Luxe papers, Teresa Collins Documented LIFE & heaps of other stuff!
